Do you believe that most daughters equate time with love? The more quality time you spend with them where they have your undivided attention, the less likely they will seek attention elsewhere. So we usually had a mom-and-daughter date once in a while. We recently discovered that Marcelino Cafe offers an eat-all-you-can buffet for Php899 per person for lunch and dinner. So we decided to go to Marcelino Cafe situated in the Lobby of Manila Prince Hotel. They offer an impressive variety of food from local to international cuisines, from Korean, Chinese, Japanese and of course Filipino food.
Here are some of the gastronomic food varieties that we tried and loved:
Filipino Food: I am a big fan of street food. I love their street food corner like kwek kwek (quail eggs), chicken balls, okoy, and Lumpiang Shanghai. And it comes with different sauces. I also loved their Lechon sisig. My daughter loves the Mixed seafood.
Korean Food: My daughter loved the Kimchi soup. They have assorted Korean salads. And they also offer Samgyupsal meat but it’s for request to their Grilling station. It’s something unusual for a buffet that’s why I love it! If you are just craving for some grilled meat, this is perfect! They will also provide some lettuce with sauce. Don’t forget to get kimchi for the whole Samgyupsal experience.
Chinese Food: I love their Fried rice, Kung Pao Chicken and Spring rolls.
Japanese Food: I am a big fan of Maki. So I immediately grabbed some Maki. They have different varieties of Maki: Tempura Maki, Crabstick Maki and California Maki. I also got curious about their Crazy Maki.
Salad Bar: You can create your salad with 3 available dressings: a Thousand Island, Ranch and Caesar. They also have Asian Coleslaw, Festo fusilli, and Macaroni Salad.
Pasta Station: A mix and match of 3 types of pasta (spaghetti, fusilli, and tagliatelle) and 3 sauces (bolognese, carbonara, and tomato sauce. I requested Carbonara with bacon, mushrooms and lots of parmesan cheese. And the serving is good for 2 persons.
Grill Station: They have roast chicken and lechon belly. The lechon belly caught my attention so I requested some chopped lechon belly.
Dessert Station: Oh this is heaven for me and my daughter! I loved the Pudding with Vanilla Sauce. The vanilla sauce compliments well with the pudding. My daughter loves the strawberries dipped in their chocolate fondue. They also have kakanin, cookies, pastries, mango tapioca, chocolate barks which are so good and of course some fruits.
We enjoyed our Mom and Daughter’s lunch date with their savory food selections and unlimited indulgence. And oh, I love the installation of the waterfalls on their wall it gives a perfect mood for guests and a relaxing vibe. I might say that the place is also perfect for family reunions, meeting with friends or even dates with your loved ones.
Marcelino Café is open from Mondays to Sundays for Lunch (11:30 AM to 2:30 PM) and Dinner (6:00 PM to 10:00 PM).
